EGL Properties is a second-generation company. It was started by my parents who have been managing their own properties for years. So 25 years later we are here in West Los Angeles and manage hundreds of properties, thousands of units across Los Angeles, and our goal is to keep our client’s income high, and their expenses low.

EGL Properties is large enough to have the experience for infrastructure but small enough to really handle the day-to-day customer service requirements that investors require need from their property management manager.

One of the things we have to offer that other management companies don't, is accounting is updated every day through our website, we have a complete open-door policy that keeps the owners completely in the loop with the management and running of their buildings. How Much Does Property Management Cost in Los Angeles?

Hi, this is Michal Vaakil with EGL Properties and the question is how much does professional property management costs?

And of course it's no fixed costs, is no industry-standard, but property management usually charges either a fixed amount or percentage or can be a combination of both based on the rental income.

They also will charge for overseeing maintenance, you also seem possible the office expenses, and overseeing projects that sells larger projects, or project management.

Often if you are doing a lot of leasing, they will be a leasing commission. These fees, generally, I have found over the years that pay for themselves, and hiring a property manager often property managers find ways to increase the income of your property, reduce your expenses so... also you want to take a look at what services are the property management company offering. If you are a full-service company you are talking about many many hours of interacting with the tenant and handling a variety of issues as a very detail-oriented business with professionals that are taking care of what can be your largest investment.
