What are my obligations regarding tenant privacy and entry to the property?
California law grants tenants the right to privacy, meaning you must provide proper notice before entering the rental property. Generally, you must give 24 hours’ written notice for non-emergency entries, such as for repairs or inspections. In emergencies, such as a fire or flood, you may enter without notice to protect the property or tenant safety. EGL Properties handles communication with tenants regarding property access, ensuring all legal requirements are followed.
