What happens if my property is damaged due to tenant negligence?
If a tenant causes damage to the property beyond normal wear and tear, the cost of repairs may be deducted from their security deposit at the end of the lease. If the damage exceeds the deposit, tenants can be held financially responsible for the repair costs. EGL Properties will assess the damage, obtain repair quotes, and communicate with the tenant to resolve the issue. We will also assist you in legal actions, such as small claims court, if necessary.
