1. Provide Proof of Your Own Insurance
If you already have a renters insurance policy, you can simply provide us with proof of coverage. Your policy should meet our standard coverage requirements, including liability protection. Please ensure that EGL Properties is listed as an “Additional Interest” on your policy. This allows us to be notified of any changes or lapses in coverage. Upload your proof of insurance directly through the resident portal, or send it to our office.
2. Automatic Enrollment in FolioGuard Insurance
For your convenience, if you do not provide proof of your own renters insurance, you will be automatically enrolled in our insurance program, FolioGuard. This program provides basic liability coverage and offers protection against unforeseen events. The cost of this insurance will be added to your monthly rent statement, making it easy to manage both your rent and insurance payments in one place.
Note: While FolioGuard provides essential liability coverage, it does not include personal property protection. We recommend considering additional insurance for your personal belongings to ensure comprehensive coverage.
