Thank you for choosing EGL Properties to manage your investment property. We’re excited to partner with you and look forward to providing professional management services that help protect your investment and simplify ownership. To begin the onboarding process, we’ll need some basic information about you and your property so we can prepare your Property Management Agreement.
Once your signed management agreement has been received, our team will work directly with you—or with your previous property management company, if applicable—to gather the documents, records, keys, and information needed for a smooth transition. Our goal is to make the onboarding process as seamless as possible while minimizing disruption for you and your residents.
Before You Begin
Please complete the New Owner Information Form below. The information you provide will help us prepare your management agreement and begin setting up your property in our management system.
Depending on your property, we’ll request information such as:
- Owner contact information
- Property address
- Property type
- Ownership entity (if applicable)
- Escrow status
- Current resident information
- Existing lease information
- Preferred owner distribution details
- Emergency contact information
- Property access information
- Insurance information
- Any additional details that will help us successfully manage your property
If any information is unavailable at this time, don’t worry. Our team will work with you to obtain the remaining documents during the onboarding process.
Transitioning From Another Management Company?
If your property is currently managed by another company, we’ll coordinate with you and, when appropriate, your existing management company to obtain the information and documentation needed for a successful transition. This may include leases, resident ledgers, security deposit records, keys, vendor information, maintenance history, and other important property records.
Our goal is to make the transition as smooth as possible for both you and your residents.
Timing
Please allow at least 48 hours’ notice before your desired management start date so we have adequate time to prepare your management agreement and begin the onboarding process.
If you’re currently in escrow and don’t yet have a confirmed closing date, that’s perfectly fine. We’ll prepare your management agreement using the best available information, and if your closing date changes, we’ll simply update the agreement before management begins.
What Happens Next?
After we receive your completed New Owner Information Form, we’ll:
- Prepare your Property Management Agreement
- Review your information for completeness
- Contact you if additional information is needed
- Coordinate the collection of property documents and records
- Set up your Owner Portal
- Begin preparing your property for successful management
Our team will keep you informed throughout the onboarding process and will be available to answer any questions along the way.
We appreciate the opportunity to earn your trust and look forward to providing you with professional, responsive, and transparent property management services for years to come.
